At the end of every year I like to take an hour or two to go back over my favorite photos from the previous 12 months and pick the best ten. I recommend this exercise to everybody as it’s a great way of reflecting on what you’ve achieved over the previous year with your photography. And, just as importantly, where you might go over the next year.
For me the time absorbed by helping to look after a young baby and a house move in November mean that I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to create photos in 2018. For my best photos I’ve selected five from my trip to Rajasthan in February and five of our baby boy.
I’m not sure what 2019 will bring – the first task is to free up more time for photography! I have plenty of ideas but haven’t decided yet which ones to pursue.
Here are my top ten photos for 2018. Links to my previous top tens are below.

Andrew, the second and eight images are my favourites from this set.
Thanks Khurt, glad you like them.
Some great shots here Andrew – I like the 2nd and 3rd ones best for their clarity/sharpness and interest, but your little boy is cute- and growing quickly!
Thanks for all the great tips and articles you share with us. I hope you have a great year.
Thank you 🙂
