The story behind the book
As I was working on my book The Garden Photography Workshop a friend of mine told me she’d like to see an assignments book for flower and nature photography. At first I didn’t think I had enough photos, but as I looked through my Lightroom Catalog (and kept visiting new gardens and making more images) I realized I had enough photos and ideas to create a book.
The interesting thing is that writing this book helped me grow as a photographer. I came up with assignment ideas that I’ve put into action myself. Working within the constraints of a brief helped me be more creative. You can see the results in the bonus Case Studies that come with this book.
